A Little About Me & This Blog

Hello! Welcome to the blog site of my candidacy for the AEC Board of Directors representing District 8.

This Blog is personally supported by Buddy Lee and is intended to be a communication channel between the people of District 8 and Buddy. I also hope that it builds a bit of community between the Coop Members (that is you, as a group and individually) and me as your Board Representative Member.
There are three basic rules:
Play nice here. Profanity and flame messages WILL NOT BE TOLERATED in the chat and message board. "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." - my grandmother, Dora Hood, taught me that and I expect no less from you as a member of this blog community.
My Blog, My Rules. I am paying for this site, you are not. I am providing this as a courtesy to the people that I hope to represent. You will be courteous to me and to the other members of this community or find yourself cut off and blocked from posting.
I will sincerely appreciate your CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, SUGGESTIONS and IDEAS to make things better for all the members of this community.
Things I believe in:
Fair play and respect for others.
Integrity - do what you say you are going to do.
Hard work. "Any job worth doing is worth doing right." - Dewey Lee, my dad, taught me that. Even if it takes a bit longer, do it right, whatever "it" is. Put your tools away after working. Clean the tool you borrowed before returning it.
Family. They are the only one you have.
Education. Earn yours and use it to make personal and professional progress. Keep learning for a lifetime, as only a fool thinks he is smart.
I would appreciate your vote this summer (2023) for the AEC Board of Directors for District 8. Here is why I am running for the AEC Board:
It is time for new leadership. Our community is growing by leaps and bounds as people move here from other parts of the United States. We simply must plan better for the expansion of electrical service to our members.
Honestly, electricity is something that we take for granted, unless it is not there! And we came close to a Texas-style outage last winter at Christmas with record cold temperatures causing unprecedented electrical loads. Training of our operations personnel must keep up with these extreme events.
